THE PORTRAIT PROCESS
The portrait process begins with a discussion of the wishes of the client and includes topics such as pose and backgrounds.
A photo session is scheduled. Photos are taken and the session may take up to an hour. A follow up session may be required. Although I prefer to take the photographs myself it may be necessary to work with photos you have on hand which would be ok.
In the studio I make preliminary drawings from the reference photos showing the pose and backgrounds etc. as discussed. These drawings will be delivered or emailed to the client for selection and approval. A final sketch will be delivered or emailed to the client for approval or adjustments.
The finished drawing is presented at the final meeting and if everyone is happy the remainder of payment is accepted.
